{"id":13101,"date":"2026-02-10T19:19:29","date_gmt":"2026-02-10T18:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.iturri.com\/blog\/?p=13101"},"modified":"2026-02-10T19:19:30","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T18:19:30","slug":"que-es-un-riesgo-laboral-grave-e-inminente-y-como-actuar-para-proteger-a-tus-trabajadores","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/shop.iturri.com\/blog\/epi\/que-es-un-riesgo-laboral-grave-e-inminente-y-como-actuar-para-proteger-a-tus-trabajadores\/","title":{"rendered":"Qu\u00e9 es un riesgo laboral grave e inminente y c\u00f3mo actuar para proteger a tus trabajadores"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>En cualquier estrategia de <a href=\"https:\/\/shop.iturri.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>seguridad laboral<\/strong><\/a> hay un concepto que no se puede pasar por alto: el riesgo laboral grave e inminente.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este tipo de situaci\u00f3n, adem\u00e1s de poner en peligro la integridad f\u00edsica del trabajador, tambi\u00e9n <strong>exige una respuesta inmediata<\/strong>, clara y eficaz por parte de la empresa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saber identificarlo, comunicarlo y actuar correctamente puede suponer la diferencia entre un susto y una tragedia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En este art\u00edculo te explicamos qu\u00e9 significa este tipo de riesgo, qu\u00e9 dice la ley al respecto, c\u00f3mo deben actuar tanto los trabajadores como la empresa y qu\u00e9 papel juegan los EPI en su prevenci\u00f3n y control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 significa un riesgo laboral grave e inminente?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan el art\u00edculo 4.4 de la Ley 31\/1995 de Prevenci\u00f3n de Riesgos Laborales, se considera un riesgo grave e inminente aquel que tiene una <strong>probabilidad razonable de materializarse<\/strong> en un da\u00f1o grave para la salud o la integridad del trabajador y que puede suceder <strong>en un espacio de tiempo muy breve<\/strong>, si no se toman medidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este tipo de riesgo se diferencia de los evaluados de forma est\u00e1ndar porque no permite margen de actuaci\u00f3n prolongado. Requiere intervenci\u00f3n inmediata, tanto por parte del trabajador como de los responsables de seguridad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aqu\u00ed algunos<strong> ejemplos comunes de riesgo grave e inminente:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Una <strong>atm\u00f3sfera t\u00f3xica o deficiente en ox\u00edgeno<\/strong> no detectada a tiempo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Un <strong>riesgo el\u00e9ctrico<\/strong> en una instalaci\u00f3n activa, sin aislar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trabajos en altura<\/strong> sin l\u00ednea de vida, arn\u00e9s ni protecci\u00f3n colectiva.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Fugas de productos qu\u00edmicos<\/strong>, derrames incontrolados, riesgo de incendio o estructuras colapsadas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Conocer qu\u00e9 es un riesgo grave e inminente permite activar protocolos espec\u00edficos a tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No todos los riesgos requieren la misma respuesta, pero los graves e inminentes no admiten espera: deben abordarse de inmediato.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 debe hacer un trabajador ante un riesgo grave e inminente?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La legislaci\u00f3n es clara: <strong>el trabajador tiene derecho a interrumpir su actividad y abandonar el lugar de trabajo<\/strong> si considera que su integridad f\u00edsica o salud est\u00e1n en peligro por un riesgo grave e inminente. Esta facultad est\u00e1 recogida en el art\u00edculo 21 de la Ley de Prevenci\u00f3n de Riesgos Laborales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>No podr\u00e1 ser sancionado ni penalizado<\/strong> por ejercer este derecho.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Est\u00e1 obligado a <strong>informar de inmediato a su superior jer\u00e1rquico, responsable de seguridad o t\u00e9cnico de PRL<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aunque finalmente no se materialice el da\u00f1o, si el riesgo era razonablemente previsible, el trabajador seguir\u00e1 teniendo protecci\u00f3n legal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La ley protege al trabajador que act\u00faa con responsabilidad ante un peligro evidente.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fomentar que los empleados reconozcan y reporten estas situaciones<\/strong> es clave para una cultura de prevenci\u00f3n activa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 obligaciones tiene la empresa ante un riesgo grave e inminente?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La empresa, como responsable de la seguridad del entorno laboral, tiene varias <strong>obligaciones inmediatas<\/strong> cuando se identifica un riesgo de este tipo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Interrumpir la actividad<\/strong> en la zona afectada hasta que se analice y elimine el riesgo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Informar a todo el personal potencialmente afectado<\/strong> del peligro y de las medidas adoptadas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Activar los protocolos de emergencia<\/strong> en caso de que la situaci\u00f3n lo requiera.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Analizar la necesidad de nuevos EPI<\/strong>, medidas colectivas o reforzar la formaci\u00f3n de los equipos.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Asegurar que ning\u00fan trabajador se reincorpore a la zona afectada<\/strong> hasta que est\u00e9 verificada como segura.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>La inacci\u00f3n o demora por parte de la empresa ante un riesgo grave e inminente puede tener <strong>consecuencias legales y humanas muy serias<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prever, actuar y documentar cada paso es tan importante como la propia medida correctiva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>C\u00f3mo prevenir los riesgos laborales graves e inminentes antes de que aparezcan<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque por definici\u00f3n estos riesgos son urgentes y sorpresivos, la mayor\u00eda pueden prevenirse con una buena estrategia de seguridad.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfC\u00f3mo?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Evaluaciones continuas de riesgos<\/strong>, especialmente en entornos cr\u00edticos como espacios confinados, zonas en altura o \u00e1reas qu\u00edmicas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Detecci\u00f3n de puntos vulnerables<\/strong>: conexiones el\u00e9ctricas, estructuras inestables, m\u00e1quinas en mal estado\u2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sistemas de detecci\u00f3n temprana<\/strong>: medidores de gases, sensores t\u00e9rmicos, alarmas de sobrecarga, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Formaci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica<\/strong>, no solo te\u00f3rica, en actuaci\u00f3n ante emergencias.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Simulacros reales y peri\u00f3dicos<\/strong>, revisi\u00f3n constante de los procedimientos y tiempos de evacuaci\u00f3n.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ya lo ves\u2026 la prevenci\u00f3n es la \u00fanica forma real de reducir el n\u00famero de riesgos graves e inminentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cuanto m\u00e1s se entrene el equipo y se actualicen los sistemas, menos situaciones impredecibles surgir\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:37px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 papel juegan los EPI en la gesti\u00f3n de riesgos graves e inminentes?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure veces vital para ganar tiempo, evacuar con seguridad o evitar lesiones mayores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vamos a ver los EPI esenciales en estos contextos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.iturri.com\/916-equipos-de-respiracion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Equipos de Respiraci\u00f3n Aut\u00f3noma<\/strong><\/a><strong>
